  1. Hello all!!

Thanks to all the replys on my previous post concerning which audio track to select in DTOX.

New question...Running OS 10.2.4 on a dual 800 G4, original Pioneer A103 Superdrive. My work flow is:

Original DVD>DVDBackup>DTOX>Toast. Have had 100% successful burns thus far so maybe I shouldn't mess with anything...but..

When I drag my DTOX compressed folder to the Toast window, Toast will sometimes add a ".DS Store" file and "Desktop DB and DF" files to the "new" DVD. Can I safely delete these files before I burn? I have yet to do so, and like I said I have had 100% successful burns thus far. My disks seem to play fine right now on my stand alone DVD player (Toshiba) as well as Apple's DVD player on my computer.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

    Ronin

PS...as an aside, I was just at Microcenter here in Cincinnati, OH. They have K-Hypermedia general purpose DVD-R's 5-pack @ $4.94 including jewel case. No coasters as of yet!! I even have used Avery Matte white labels with the Stomper applicator and again no problems thus far.

    Happy Burning!!

These are simply invisible files that 10.2 has. As you said burning the DVD with them causes no problems. I dont see any reason why burning the dvd without these will cause a problem.

I usually delete those files. It does not affect playback.

MBs?? Those files on mine totalled under 1mb I do believe. Not really enough to have a large impact, I just didn't want my player to try to do anything with them.

Those are OS X specific files that can be deleted. I always delete them, just to keep things clean. (I'm a perfectionist...what can I say?)

As am I. From what I've heard they don't affect playback, but I'd prefer they not be there.
