  1. just when you think you've got the hang of this something goes wrong

    i have 2 files which say they are movie file (mpeg) but cannot open them with tmpeg or vdub i get an unsupported message
    i am useing tmpeg plus with mpeg 2 plugin and quicktime plugin i have divx and xvid codec and they play perfectly on media player
    i have ran a check on avicodec and had these results which i asume mean they are supported so why wont they open

    Video : 0.0 b, 2530 Kbps, 29.970 fps, res. 480*480 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported

    Hmmm, mpeg-2 video (SVCD compliant too by the looks of it.

    What version of Tmpgenc are you using, the newer ones don't use the mpeg plugin for mpeg-2 but require one of 3 (or 4) certain mpeg-2 codecs be installed for it to open them. I remember the one that comes with PowerDVD is one, check the TmpGenc site for the others.

  3. tmpeg is 2.510.49.157 and i have powerdvd 4 installed
    also under enviromental settings cyberlink mpeg 2 is rated at 1
    i cannot see anything to help on the website other than updating to the latest version
