  1. I'm using Sonic Reel DVD to author a wedding video which I'm transferring from VHS to DVD. There are several different parts to the video (ie, getting ready before, the ceremony, pictures after, reception, etc..) and I have them all as seperate streams. I would like to make a menu with the option to either watch all the streams consecutively, or one by one. Does anyone know how I'd go about doing this?

I'm not sure if you are able to do this in Reel DVD, but there should be a command for a "end Action" It says on the Sonic site that this software has Next, Previous, and Return link programming capabilities, so there might be a way to do it, but I have never used the software so I'm not quite sure how to do it.

  5. reelDVD sure can do what you want. The best way is to spend sometimes to go thru the Tutorial. This is a very good excercise on how to author a DVD using reelDVD. It's a very flexible authoring program, it just need quite a bit of time to learn on how to use it.

Other authoring programs (which I know , for home use) can also almost what you want to do :
    1) Pinnacle Studio 8 (demo avail), selected chapters and watch all streams
    2) neoDVD (no demo), play selected clip only then return to menu.

    Good luck

  6. NOOO!! You're telling me I have to RTFM!!! AHHH! I just thought maybe there'd be a more intuitive guide online somewhere (as is usually the case). In the meantime I'll start diggin' for the manual, oh man, I can just hear the creaking and cracking sounds of a brand new manual being opened. NOOOO!
