film splitting useing tmpge

i have encoded films using tmpge how do i split the film into two so that i can burn onto 2 700mb disc as i dont have a dvd burner im new to this so please make it easy

easiest/best way is to use Source Range at the time you encode. before you start encoding go to the Advanced tab, click Source Range, set the Start Frame to 0, pick a nice spot about half way through and set it as End frame. When you encode the 2nd half use the previous end frame as the start frame and make the end of the movie the end frame. You can either do them one at a time or set up one, save the project, set up the other, save the project and then run them both using Batch Encode.

for files that you already encoded go to TMPGENC > File > MPEG Tools > Merge & Cut. set the file type to be the same as what you encoded, add the file you want to split, double click on it, set your start and end points, type in a name for the output file and click run.

I always use the source range function as cutting mpegs can sometimes cause A/V sync problems. As well, I like to make the cut at a scene change and I like to overlap them by a few seconds. Source range is the best method.
