Hi!
Just got a Pioneer A05 a couple of days ago. Burned a Spiderman promotional DVD onto the supplied Pioneer DVD-RW media with dvd decryptor. Works Perfectly!
I am now trying to burn a DVD-R for the first time. The DVD is FAIR GAME region 2. The disk is a DVD-5. When I try to burn the ISO using dvd decryptor onto a Ritek G03 unbranded silver top, purple bottom media, I get the following error in dvd decryptor:
in case the image does'nt load the error is
I/O error
scsi status 0x02
a couple of interpretations
invalid address for write.
I'm using firmware 1.21. Do i need to upgrade?
im sure ritek g03 are good media. Am i right.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I use Riteks all the time without problems.
I would try updating firmware.....but I did all the firmwares were supposed to work with Ritek at 1X.
I think 1.30 is latest....give it a try.All I've got in this world is my balls and my word.....
and I don't break them for no one! -
I have found that "dirty" disks give me fits. I recently backed up a poor copy of Goodfellas. In that case one of the vob files would give me an error. I found that if I kept hitting "Ignore" perhaps 10 times, each time it would decrypt a little more of the track. Eventually it got it all.
Conversly, one disk, looked scratched and after hitting "Ignore" many times, I could tell that it was not reading in more bytes. Thus, I gave up on that one.
Now I clean them all before I start. -
hi
just a line to let you know that your problem is DEFINATELY a CORRUPT/DAMAGED DISC.
I had the same problem recently and found a deep scratch on the bottom of the disc i was trying to rip from using DVD Decrypter 3.1.6.0. Exactly the same error came up.In my opinion there is nothing else you can do to prevent that from happening except for get another original to copy from that is not damaged.
Also, have you tried to use DVDxCopy 1.5?? brilliant for backups of DVD-5 less than 4.5gb!!
Anything over 4.5gb i use DVD Decrypter choose file select all then DVD2One to re-encode and Prassi Primo DVD to burn.Includes all extras!!
If over 7.5gb use DVD Decrypter and Pinnacle Instant Copy, it then shrinks down the files with very little loss of quality.
Hope this helps.
