  1. I'm thinking about buying a NEC 1100a dvd +r recorder, first of all is this a good choice or is there another more economic choice?
second, the main reason I'm getting this dvdr is for burning down divx files, like whole series and stuff, are there any dvdplayers that support divx except that KISS thing ive seen which is extremely expensive and also has a lot of functions I don't need?
I know the thing about ehe player is supposed to be in another forum but I thought it was enough with one thread....

  2. What i would suggest is just converting the divx movies to dvd format then burning them to dvdr then you can use your dvd player to watch them. what I do is take 2 divx movies and convert each 1 to 2.2 gigs then i put them on 1 dvdr disk. And can watch them in my dvd player. The quality is a little lower because of the size but it is still pritty good. But for my favorite movies the ones that i dont want any noticable quality loss like The Matrix i convert to the full 4.3 gigs and then burn using a dvd authoring program. I like to add the backgrounds of the movie and music from the soundtrack.

  3. but it would be technically possible to just burn divx files in "data mode" and play them on a dvdplayer that handles divx?

daemonslayer: It depends if the dvd player handles divx on dvdrs....but I think most divx dvd players supports that.
