  2. I have been battling with MF2 for over 4 weeks now without much success.
I have tried to contact Ulead again without success.
The problem seems to be if you import a MPEG2 file in to the programme .eg encoded in TMPGENC. If you use a AVI file it seems OK.
The trouble is that TMPGENC has very much better quality of output in terms of sharpness and resolution.
I must confess to having given up with it and will be applying for a refund on the grounds that it does not work and is therefore unfit for the purpose that it was intended.
I have now downloaded the TMPGENC DVD authoring package ( it is on the Pegasus site as a Trial 30 day download) and it works beautifully with about the same features as MF2 except that you need something like Nero to make the final burn.
but, it does work with as advertised.!!!!

  3. Yes, I would love to use TMPGEnc, I have been using that for encoding for years. But it seems like my pioneer 550 standalone, wont play the dvd when authored in tmpge. But it plays when authored and burned in moviefactory.
So what I do is to make the dvd mpg file in tmpge, and use that in moviefactory. So actually everything works just fine in MF except the chapter thing.
When authored in tmpge it wont play even if I try burning with different software like nero or instant and so on. (But it plays in a pioneer 545, but not the 550). If I author in spruce up, it plays fine if burned with instant.

So the good thing with MF is that the dvdr works in every standalone, not only a few.
