try playing your .rm file in MPlayer. If MPlayer will play them [depends heavily on codec] then MEncoder can convert them to a usable format for Quicktime.

Give it a try and post your results.

If MPlayer wont play them, then i believe that you are out of luck on the Mac OS X side. .RM is crap anyway. Rule of thumb:

    crap in = crap out.

lets see since i've been on this forum.... i've run into this question about.. hmm.. 8 MILLION times.. i wonder if anyone knows about this feature called SEARCH . anyways, yeh i agree with zerosix, mplayer is your only hope... and the chances it will work are like nil if you are using a newer real codec, real networks is very slow and stingy to release their codecs to work in free third party software, and i assume you are trying to burn these to vcd or.. (please dont say this is true.. dvd) if you ever do get them ready for vcd the quality will be deplorable on your tv, not worth it at ALL.. find whatever you found in rm (im willing to bet its a tv show or something) in a QUALITY format, the steps involved (if its even possible for your specific codec) are NOT worth it. even if mplayer does decode it, it probably will only dump the video no audio, and drop TONS of frames, i did a test once on an rm and an asf file and the audio and video in the end didnt sync because the crap formats dropped so many frames.. its NOT worth it
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
