I have captured a black and white movie from TV (using virtualVCR with PICvideo MJPEG quality 19) and now I want to convert this to VCD using TMPGenc. My default setting in TMPGenc are: NoiseFilter 15/1/15 (high quality) and SharpEdges 45/45 and I use "high quality" for motion search.
Can anybody give me some advice how I can optimize my setting to take into account that I have b/w source material?
I'm sure that there must be way to take advantage of the fact that I know that there is no color in my source and that TMPGenc can use all of the bitrate for the brightness only. E.g. any color can only come from noise.
