  1. I'm backing up Harry Potter 2. There is a VIDEO_TS and a VTS_1. Everything seems to be in VTS_1. The only things I keep are VOB 2,4 and 5. The complete set ends up being a WB intro, menu, movie and that's it.
After taking the warnings off the end of the movie it does not sefault back to the menu like the original. It just closes. To fix this I went into VTS_1 and edited PGC1's post command to CALLVTSMENUething llike that/ i don't have it in front of me) ROOT CELL 1. This made the movie default back to the menu. Is this correct. When I tried it on POWERDVD4 it worked (i know this doesn't mean it'll work in a standalone). Now when I burn it it always comes up as a write error in NERO around 4/5 of the way. To me if what I did messed it up it would seem like it should have the error towards the end. It's not NERO or the MEDIA. They have been flawless. I've had two coasters in the same spot. What do you Think?

    Thanks for any help

  2. It doesn't look like anyones going to respond. I must ask some terrible questions. Oh well.
I finally ran it though IFOEdit again. This time I put it on a different drive then burned it. Fixed. Must be a bad sector on that drive.

    Thanks

  3. unless I missed something you can't just run that movie through IFOEdit. There was ONLY 1PGC and no seamless branching. The total files I believe were over 7GB's and you had to reencode it. Not sure what you did..but if you just used IFOEdit..you probably just made another coaster.

  4. It works. I was just worried because it was the first time I ever edited the post commands and I thought that was the reason for the errors but it wasn't. Right after I had those coasters the computer crashed so I was thinking that something could be wrong with the drive. That's why I ran it through on a different drive. And sorry about that I tend to leave steps out that I always do. I did reencode it with DVD2ONE 111.

Now I'm always editing the pre and post command to have the disc start with the menu (root) and end with the menu (root). Sometimes at the end of the movie it defaults back to the extras menu. Since I stripped it there is no need to have it go there so that's why I like it going there after the movie. I would have been nice to know about those commands early on cause that would have helped out alot on some of my backups. Especially those old ones that don't even start with the menu. Now I'm redoing them to start that way.
