Hello,
by posting this post some might scream that my question has been answered many times on this web site; however, I could not find it so there it goes. I use a canopus advc to capture, CCE to encode from avi to mpeg2. The source is my wedding from a digital camera. The avi quality is great. The mpeg2 quality is great too. When I burn the dvd and play it on my tv from the computer dvd drive it looks fine. When I play it on my standalone dvd, I noticed a lot of, not sure how to call it, jerking or flickering... I know that the use of those terms in a vague way is confusing. It happens when there is motion in the footage. There is no blockiness, just that flikering. I know about dvd compliant format, with the framerate at 29.97 etc... Now I have been capturing from vhs and although quality was not great, I did not get this motion flickerness or jerkiness on the standalone.
ANyone has any idea?
Thanks,
Gui

Try switching the field order. CAM sources should be bottom field first.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
