Pioneer A05 2x Hack Success / Failure?

For those who have hacked or have tried hacking their A05 with the 2x hack, how many have success and how many have failed?

I hacked mine today and burned a Dup-EZ silver top with success.

I have had 100% good luck with the firmware, infact by using the firmware I have saved 45 minutes per DVD. I recommend to anyone. Besides you can STILL burn at 1x if you are using disks you are unsure of.

Ritek (G03) silver tops......24/25. Most burns were almost full with only 30-50Mb free on disk.

Hosed my 103 drive. Not going to risk the better 105. Just buy better discs for a few cents more. And read my sig about being cheap.

Works for me, i did the a04 last year, sold it, bought
the cendyne105, waited patiently, flashed in last week
and it burns the princos/verbatims 100%...at 2x

Flashed it and works fine. However I can see some abnomalies in the emultion after burning. I only use Ritek but I don't know how to check what they are.

Have burnt 15 or 20 disks with the new firmware, and no complaints so far. I've been using the Ritek G03's, and can't tell the difference between the one's burned at 2x and those burned at 1x. I think it's great. I also like the fact that the hacked firmware now allows my drive to rip faster than the 2x it was ripping at before. I get around 6x on dual layered, copy-protected disks. One of the best decisions I've made was upgrading the firmware. I was weary about messing anything up at first, but it was well worth the 30 minutes I save on every burned disk.

Works Great for me, rips at 6x to 8x. Burned 18 rRItek G03's and 6 Accu's, no proplems!
