Any ideas why my Philips DVD718 standalone gets problems with audiosync if I encode my SVCDs at 2520 using TMPGEnc ?
If I drop it back to 2450 playback is faultless.
Just curious!

Philips players can give several problems if you set the bitrate too high (stuttering, audio-out-of-sync). Do you encode your audio to 44.100 Hz? If so try setting it to 48.000 Hz... Philips players seem to like that better. Maybe it will help.

44.1 works fine. My problems were limited to a bit-rate issue. I don't think SVCDs can be 48khz.
I did hear some clicks in the audio just before the sync stuffed up but with 2450 bitrate all is fine.
