When I make backup of a DVD using latest DVD Decrypter 3.1.5.0 & DVD2One v1.0.2 (latest version) and Nero 5.5.10.20 (latest version) to burn .... 5 out of 10 of the movies freeze/jump/stop and pixels come up. But it usually happens in certain chapters of the movie!

Im using those softwares when I want to fit DVD movie on one disc, without extras and menus.

I use DVDXcopy when I want to backup everything (It usually takes 2 discs), and the copies work perfect with out those problems!

I think that the problem is not the media or Nero 'cause because they work any other times!

Am I doing something wrong!!??, or there're better softwares to to copy DVD-9 to DVD-5.

    PLEASE HELP.................BIGpol

  2. DVDXCopy is just taking whats on the DVD and spanning it across 2 DVD-Rs. It is not affecting the video quality.

DVD2One on the other hand is affecting the quality which sometimes causes the jump/freeze/stutter/pixelation problems.

You should consider using a better re-encoding program like CCE. I use it and then re-author all my movies using DVDMaestro and they come out perfect.

Many users have had problems with Nero. I use Record Now Max to burn and the results have been great.

Im using Traxdata or lower quality GoGo media, but even Traxdata stutters/jumps when Im using DVD Decrypter/DVD2One/Nero.
GoGo DVD-R media is great, I even use it for PS2 games, and they all work fine on chipped PS2 (IM using RecordNow Max or PrimoDVD to burn PS2 Games)..Im sure that media is not the problem here!

Im burning with Nero Burning ROM DVD-ROM (UDF 1.02), or Nero burning engine (DVDXCopy) cause my stand alone DVD player (PIONEER) and chipped PS2 machine play DVDs great (WELL...LESS IM GETTING THE PROBLEM ABOVE)
