  1. It seems as though I'm having problems with audio when running my vob files through dvd2one.

I checked the vobs after using dvd decrypter and there is audio present (I opened them with WinDVD) but after I put the files through dvd2one there is no audio present (I checked the vob files again with WinDVD).

I am selecting audio tracks but is it because I am selecting multiple auido tracks (stereo, DTS and 5.1) that I'm running into this problem? Anyone have any suggestions besides dvd shrink?

I was able to get the process of dvd decrypter, dvd2one, burn with nero once with the matrix, but now this.

I tried using the movie PI, and had this no audio problem and now I'm having the same problem with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Criterion. Any suggestions/help will be much appreciated! TIA!

BTW, I'm doing the movie-only. No menus.

Do I need to rip ALL files in file mode with DVD decrypter or can I have it select only the movie files?

    Sorry for the lengthy post!

  3. Ghoster,

I'm unable to open vob files in WM9...how did you get them to open? It's an XP thing isn't it?

  5. Thanks for trying Ghoster. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm not running XP so I can't check the audio streams....but why will the vob's work with audio prior to being put through dvd2one and not after?

PowerDVD will only play audio,in file mode.if you ripped audio stream one(0x80). DVD2ONE,in Full Disk, does not correct the ifo file. You will not get audio unless you ripped and selected audio stream one.

  7. why not just burn it on a rw dvd and see if it will play in your dvd player?

  8. Which version of Windvd are you using? My burner came with the OEM version 4. This version does not support DTS. Only the retail version decodes DTS. I have not done the movie you list but had similar problem with Behind Enemy Lines. Only kept the DTS sound and thus had no sound on my computer ( thought I had made a coaster), then tried it on my standalone playing through my reciever and it was perfect. That is when I went through the help files of my version of Windvd and found that DTS was not supported and in fact it only supports 2 channel output. Have since gotten the platinum version of Windvd 4 and now have sound when playing this disc on my computer.

  11. Well I bit the bullet and burned F&L in LV and had success! Audio was present!

I don't have any RW's on hand and not so sure if my PS2 will even read RW's and that is the only "stand alone" dvd player I have at the moment.

Still can't figure out why I can't backup the movie PI with audio though...

Thanks again for all the help everyone!
