I was trying to back up a dvd with Osex, and the dvd was less than 4.4 Gb, so I decided to select the Folders option rather than elementary streams. When I tried to watch it, there were green lines through the video. So gave it another shot and tried to make an image with Osex, and that did not work either. Is there a way to get around that, or do I have to do elem. streams? Thanks.

I think that I know what the problem is: there is some kind of protection for it not to be played on a computer. I just tried playing the movie, and there are green lines across the picture... and it works fine on my dvd player. Has anyone seen this, and is there a way to get around it??? Thanks.

Actually, I was very wrong. For some reason, none of my dvds are playing with the Apple Dvd Player. They all play, but it seems like they are not decoding the copy protection.... there are green lines across all of the pictures. Very weird...

Try using a different decrypter, especially since the disc is less than 4.4gb. Using DVDBackup is the equivalent, more accurate version of "folders" in 0Sex.

It happens to me sometimes. DVD player won't play any DVD without green blocks. Usually a reboot and it's ok. An ATI Radeon 7000 PCI issue ?
Don't think it's a backup or protection issue at all.
