  2. I don't use DVD2ONE (think it's worth about as much as a bag of warm hampster poop); however, what most are doing is stripping out unwanted extras, video tracks, audio streams, etc. to make the DVD smaller. That leaves more room (ie. bitrate) for DVD2ONE to give to transcoding the video; which results in higher quaility output.

  3. I believe DVD2one can take out the extra crap you don't need.

Ifoedit makes your DVD-Rs more compatiable with your DVD players (Standalone).

Correct me If I am wrong.

  4. Although DVD2ONE can take out the extras there have been a LOT of reports of problems when it does this (do a forum search). It's easier to remove everything first in IFOEdit then run that through DVD2ONE.

More compatiable? Well that's not really an issue here. I suspect that you are thinking about people using IMGTools to generate an ISO image of the authored VIDEO_TS folder and then burning that (often with DVD Decrypter). You can run IMGTools from within IFOEdit (and burn from within IFOEdit too).

Making an ISO image does improve compatiable (esp if you burn with Nero as some of it's verisons have problems, although the newest one seems ok).

  5. Problem I found with Ifoedit is that the movie will not run in Win DVD though it works with Power DVD! DVDToolbox is easier to use, requires less input from the user, quicker and more compatible with different apps.

Just my opinion,.... but,... I've used IFOedit a lot and since I got DVD2ONE I see no reason to mess with IFOedit. It is not that easy to use, and half the time you don't know what your removing or if you did it right. Afterwards you still have to Get new VOB sectors before burning.

DVD2ONE does all of this for you. When you select which video and audio and subtitles you want, you know you have them. I've never had a problem with anything I've done on DVD2ONE.
