Does this mean the movie hasnt got any audio at all?? Thanx for any help in advance!! By the way if the movie hasnt got sound, is there any way i can get sound for it cos its realy good quality and realy dont wanna get another file that is lower quality...any ideas??

Can you play the Avi? Using Virtualdub, what does it say under file information for the audio type? Maybe you don't have the required codec. Get Gspot from the Tools section and test your file.

Standard procedure is to rip a wav file from the Avi using Virtualdub and then use the wav file as your audio source. This is how: Open Vdub, load your file, select audio- Full Processing mode, Audio compression- no compression, Audio conversion- 44.1 KHz (VCD/SVCD), then under file Save Wav.

If you get a VBR warning in Vdub or if the audio is AC3 then you can use Goldwave to make a wav file. Load your Avi and then select sav, that's it.

Sounds like it might be AC3 and that you need the codec. Test with Gspot
