  1. Hi,

I am trying to convert a PAL DVD to NTSC. I have converted each PAL .VOB to AVI and then converted to NTSC mpeg.

The question now, is how do I convert these back to .VOB?

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Cheers,

You'll have to re-author them with a dvd authoring tool. Look under the "Author" section at the left.

  4. Drat. What I was aiming for was to see if it was possible to take the existing .VOB's in PAL format and just convert them to NTSC and replace them so the disc would still run the same.

I know I can reauthor them, but some dvd's it is virtually impossible to recreate the original menus.

Or at least, I dont know of any way - the menu item selection options in the authoring tools I have seen are pretty limited.

    Back to the drawing board...

  5. You can do this with IFOUpdate:

Basically, you re-author the the VOB of interest, delete the old VOBs, use IFOUpdate to fix the IFO files, then re-burn.
