Hi,
I just wanted to put some VCD mpegs on a DVD and encountered a pain
in the a.. audio sync problem. after demuxing the mpg the mp2 is having
some seconds less play time than the m1v causing out-of-sync playback.
the most annoying thing in this game is maestro ! when you use
cooledit to stretch the audio and see with your own eyes that it has the
correct length - then maestro after importing it will again report the
wrong length - too short for x seconds. not to mention that any attempt
to use the 'create sync audio file' in maestro fails miserably ...
I'm confused ... I'm probably on the wrong track ...???
thanx for any hint
cheers

The audio and video files sometimes do have a few seconds difference, have you tried them in maestro without messing with the length? If so, what are you using to re-encode your audio to 48Hz?

A few seconds ... say 5 or so are noticably causing out-of-sync playback.
I used Beesweet/ssrc to changed sampling rate and then covert to ac3.
I now re-encode the whole crap (simpons episodes downloaded from the
internet) w/ tmpg. this program is my last hope ... -
I have never had any issues using TMPG and SSRC per

Also, I'd AC3 the streams before inputing them into Maestro.~~~Spidey~~~
