  1. hey guys im having a problem backing up one of my films ...... its The ring well anyway ive tryed doing it 3 times now everything completes no errors but when i burn the cd it freezes in my standalone while it plays fine on the PC...... reading the other forum they say it might be a progressive /ntsc issue but provide no real workaround...... this sucks since i love CCE and the quality...... i was forced to use instant copy i tried both the force film option and the upper field first with both flags selected....... im using DVD2DVD-R 1.4.6 with CCE 2.50.......i thought it was my media but i used verbatim and apple media...... and they work fine with all other proggies aka DVD2ONE and Instant copy....... if anyone has a workaround please enlighten me as i would very much love to use this program

  2. when I use DVD2DVDR and CCE I always use meastro to compile, adding subs chapters and start points along with end points then I completely run it through IFO edit and get VTS sectors.
    Thanks alot,

  5. do not use ifo edit to author ur NTSC movies use a 3rd party peice of software like meastro on sonic Scenarist.
http://dvd.coldpie.com - where you can download versions of DVD2DVDR.

  7. You do not want to use the ifoedit mode to author NTSC film because of a problem with the pulldown flags, however you can use ifoedit to get vts sectors after you author in meastro or scenarist if you want. Instant copy authors by itself so you would never have to author with ifoedit when using it and therefore no problems occured. However you might also want to make sure the DVD-r wasn't dusty or dirty before burning as that can also lead to playback pausing/skipping.

  8. the ring would be good quality using instant copy as I've done it 2 dvdr & there is no difference in the picture quality whatsoever!!!! keeping the full menu system & the extra's & the only thing that was removed was the dts & the 2 channel audio thats all & the whole dvd went straight to one dvdr. as the film & extra's only total to about 6 vobs with these things out its the same as removing the film & instead of using dvd2dvdr like I would normally use why didnt U just use ifoedit & strip all the crap of & it fits nicely, the other way it can be done!.. basically the film is 3.58 gig's worth of space & the xtras take up the rest so really no need to re-encode it at all.

    Kev!

just a little addition to my above stuff!! I'm not using ifoedit to author but to strip the existing streams & create new ifo's in the vob extras.. this method can also be used to keep the film intact with the menu & extra's if it shrinks to the right size with the extra tracks out
