I am trying to take a wav file that i recorded and put it on an audio CD to play on a portable boom box. I have about a dozen cd's now that will play fine on everything I put it into but the portable boom box. I was able to get one to work then I decided to make a change and now I cant get anything to play in the boom box. The first one works fine but not the new ones I record. The specs on the file I want to burn are
    Wav
    44,100 hz
    16 bit
    Stereo
I have even tried to copy one of the tracks that works fine and reburn it and nothing. The Drive is working on everything else.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

  3. Your boom box probably doesn't like the CD-R media. Also make sure you burn DAO(finalize),ISO9660,mode 1.

I am burning with Nero and the default settings for the audio CD. DAO is checked and mode 1 but I can't find the the ISO9660 setting in neros audio cd tab. Also I have copied some files from a misic cd and burned them onto the same maxcell cd-r media and it works fine.
    Thanks

It took me a few coasters to get the first one. I finally converted the file to the CD quality settings listed above and got it to work. I didn't like the result as it had too much bass so i reworked the file and went to burn it with the settings above and I can no longer get it to work. I have uninstalled nero and reinstalled also downloaded the demo of record it now. So the problem is I can't get it to work again.
    Thanks

Just a note after 19 coasters trying different settings and files I finally have it figured out. The only thing I didnt change was the speed. I was under the impression that the slower the burn speed the more likely you were to get a good disk. Well throw that out the door on the audio CD because if I burn at 4X it wont work but if I burn it at 16X it works fine. Sure glad these CD's were real cheap.
    thanks to all for suggestions.
