I got 4 different dvd-r makes, TDK, Maxwel, White Lable and an Unbranded DVD-RW.
The TDK and the Unbranded DVD-RW Works perfectly ok, but the Maxwel and White Lable are not picked up, all I get is the egg timer going and the light staying permately on the DVD unit.
Any ideas?

Definently sounds like dvd-r is having trouble recognising them.Have you tried a firmware upgrade?I'm running a dvdr 104 as well but I am using hacked 2for all firmware which allows 2speed on any disk.You can get it here.

I use the version at the bottom of page just before UPGRADE.exe.
This is also rpc1 as well. -
@boss
no not on rw(haven't tried) but on any other dvdr's(1x) that I have tried.It does a full dvd in about 25 min.I haven't tried it with rw but I wouldn't advise doing 2x on a 1x rw in case you f**k up the disk. -
I've ran the firmware upgrade, but I'm still havving the same trouble. All other CDR's work branded and unbraded.
Any thuing else to try?
