svcds to dvdr

Whats the best method to put svcds onto dvdr
Ive tried tmpgenc but it doesnt merge two files together properley, either missed video out or sound.

I need a really understandable method with some good guides and success rates.

Ive tried a couple but cant get any more movies to work now, they keep giving me the same problems

Ive tried merging the files to one using tmpgen, then run the new file through the demux to split the files, when ive checked these, the two files dont add up to the original and when i tested them the movie file didnt have the whole movie there. If it was workign i would run the audio through besweet to convert then use ifoedit to dvd author the files, but when i have done this, i find that the movie still isnt totally there and in some cases the sound is mising for sections or out of sync,. i have had some movies work but alot now just wont work when i do this

i tried almost every guide in here over the last two months including tmgenc the best tool also the simplest 4 me was mpeg2vcr it works all the time thus far,
