Please help newbie

My standalone will only play dvd-r's that I made using Ulead Moviefactory2, but the audio is out of sync (no, it was in sync in the divx I made it from). I tried using TMPGEnc, which resulted in an mpeg2 file that my standalone will not play ( I am assuming I need the movie to be in the .vob file format enclosed in a VIDEO_TS file.)

I have not found a patch for the MovieFactory2 to fix the sync problems (which was suggested on this forum). Is the a patch?

If not, can I convert an mpeg2 to the .vob-format? If so, how?

Also, does anyone know of a good tutorial for using CCE? The one on Doom9.org confused me.

I use Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 to convert mpg2 files to VOb, great app.
But there are many others like Sonic DVD-It, Sonic MyDVD, etc.
I prefer Movie factory as you can easily add chapters to a large movie.
