  1. I really didn't know where to post this but I got a new PC and everything 2.4GHZ Processor, 512MB DDRAM, Windows XP Professional, 80 GIG, right now I am a beginner and using DVD2SVCD, and it seems that my movies aren't being converted as fast as they used to be, taking around 6-7 hours encoding alone, using 2Pass, the first conversion I did came out great, and after that I notice, the sharpness has started to deteriorate, taking longer then usual to convert, and my recently converted movie, had a bitrate of 2407 and the movie had macroblocks, macroblocks comeon with that bitrate I have never had macroblocks... I read somewhere that I might have to reinstall my XP OS...could someone explain me what to do, scandisk, defragment...? something to clean it up.

  2. YOU aren't saying a single setence completely...so most of it is like sign language. First of all..it sounds like you have a brand new system to begin with so reinstalling your OS won't do much...as will defragmenting. Give an example of a "movie' you have reencoded and where you see those MacroBlocks. DVD2SVCD takes a long time because of "TMPGENC" however, in terms of SVCD, the quality yielded is usually incredible.

  3. Sorry about the late reply, I like your animation
anyway, what would you like for me to be specific about...? I encoded my very first rip, Drunken Master the first one, had multiple Audio tracks & Subtitles, used TMPGEnc to encode, 2 Pass and it got done pretty quickly, now the second one I ripped was Shaolin The Wheel Of Life, and I noticed that it was gonna take 7 hours for it to get encoded, BTW I had set the priority to Highest [VerySlow] yes I know it doesn't seem to make a difference but I was like you know what the hey, so after everything got done, I noticed that everytime a person would move there would be weird white lines, like 2 pictures of the action occuring would happen, little bit of macroblocks, but not very noticable, I encoded a couple of movies as well, and didn't really get impressed, I tried using CCE, but it has bugs or something cuz it doesn't even run on my machine...soo now I will update DVD2SVCD, and see how it works, nothing wrong with the OS, I think...
