error conveting an avi using TMPGenc

HI trying to convert an .Avi 23.96 to 25fps using TMPGenc, however every time i try to start the conversion i get the following error message.

read error occured at address BFF7A12S of module kernel32.DLL with 035EF04

that last number/code changes whenever i try, any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

I have tried uninstalling TMPGenc and reinstalling, and i have been succesful converting the file once, except i ended up with 2 hours of the end of film title.......great

The movie is probably compressed with XviD codec and you have to change the enviromental settings in TMPGenc to get it work then,read how here:

Yeah its definately an xvid video!funnily enough ive just left it encoding without ticking the framerate conversion box, so ill see what it looks like & sounds like when i get home.....
