    Hello-
I have been able to succesful back up my dvd's to work on my x-bos. The playstation 2 has been a different story. I switched the final program I was using from NeoDVD to Nero. My playstation will now play them but its very very jerky and to audio is not synced. Can anyone give me any help. Should I be using + instead of - or what. Thank you in advance

  2. Is it original dvd that you are backing up or is it mpeg files convert to dvd.
As i have converted mpegs to dvd and they work ok on the xbox but they won't work on the PS2 as they are block and jittery. I think the reason for this is that on the Xbox with the right chip its possible to play vcds but on the Ps2 there is no way to play these type of files. Even if the files have been converted to Dvd basicaly the file are still mpegs and even some stand alone dvd player wont play converted dvd films as it has some thing to do with the audio and the mpeg file they are not upto Dvd standard.

    I hope this has help

  6. HI, just wanted to let you know that i somtimes get the same drama's that some play on 1 or the other, ( XBOX or PS2) but the PS2 will not read DVD+R media so don't waste your money on them.

I think it also depends on what version of the PS2 you have, the older ones actually have weaker lazers, So somtimes it just depends on what method you use to do each DVD back up.
Also think of what console you want to use mainly for DVD's then just use the same method if possible that works mostly on that system. ( i feel that the XBOX is a better DVD player & reads more than the PS2, not so jerky)

    hope that helped.

i have dvd+rs and they play on ps2 just fine . as a matter of fact they play better on ps2 than my 3 other dvd players including my $2200.00 Pioneer DV-09 (they are jerky sometimes on the pioneer). and ps2 are based on dvd+r , so u shouldn't make statement like that below
