I have Record now DX. I have read that Record Now Max is a great product for providing compatibility. Spoke with someone that is successfully playing files from Record Now MAx on a player I need to be able to play on, and they do it by creating the Video_TS directory, then just make a data disk with RN MAx, and it plays fine.

Any thoughts on whether the DX would perform similarly?

Suppose I could burn a DVD with it and mail to my daughter and see, huh?

    Thanks.
    Thanks

  2. RecordNow Max in my opinion is the ABSOLUTE BEST burning software out there. I have tried most of them, and RNM makes things extremely simple and burns flawlessly. I have ALWAYS burned at 2x with media that isn't even certified at 2x and my results with RNM have been nothing short of spectacular "EACH AND EVERY SINGLE TIME!"

RecordNowDx comes bundled with the software you get with the Sony Burners...that's probably why many people didn't "purchase" RNM to begin with but RNM will allow you to have your disks read on just about every possible standalone player...not to mention PSX's and XBox.

Well, sounds like you really like RNM. In your experience, does DX not do as well?

And, as for RNM, do I have to make changes to settings, depending on the player that is the ultimate target machine, or do you typically just burn, with default settings?

    Thanks

  4. I have both of them and both work just fine and produce a burned DVD that will play on any of the three players I have.

I burned a DVD last night, and the third title doesn't play on my DVD system (Apex). However, it burned at 2X. I wonder if that is why. I will try burning at 1X and see what happens. Any other htoughts.?
    Thanks
