ok, first I did a search for VRO files...did not find any definite way that works..
2nd I have an lf 521 dvd ram PC drive and the Panasonic EMR-e50.
I record a show to the RAM disc and edit it either in the e 50 or on the pc drive with movie factory. File is a vro. I edit the commercials out. I have movie factory 3.5. I have read that there is a prob with vro's that have been edited, i.e. commercials edited out, and getting them authored on dvdpr. Has anyone found a way or software, that makes it easier than 20 steps(exaggerated) to get it to dvd-r without reencoding and reencoding?
I would like to edit it, and then burn it to dvd-r without encoding, other than what the e 50 did when it recorded to the RAM disk.
I did a black and white show the other nite..oldie...edited the commercials out with movie album and then merged the segments, and then when I went to save as....it saved as mpeg2. Can anyone with the same version tell me if this save process was reencoding the whole file to mpeg2? or just portions of it? and if just portions, how would I know what portions?
Then when I opened mydvd and added the file, it took about 10 minutes to add it, whereas in premeire and such it only takes a couple secs....what was mydvd doing these 10 mins, reencoding yet again? Or is it just a pos software?
I really would like to be able to edit the vro's and burn them to dvd-r without any reencoding and without any audio synch probs and with the least amount of steps as possible...Has anyone found a way that definitely works? thanks..t
