  2. HHmm..ive had that error but cant remember why now. But first of all id suggest DONT use spruce up for burning...its very old and when it was made there were hardly any DVD burners out there !.. It certainly dosent support my Pioneer.. Use Nero or something else for burning.

I'd recommend writing out to a title set and burn using a different program. Like andydd mentioned, Spruce Up! is rather old and doesn't have support for newer drives.

My method is after getting everything the way I want, writing out to a title set and using Nero 5.5 to burn.

  4. Yes, it happens when you decoding the movie file which you already created (spruceup prject) then Abort at the middle of the processing. The only solution for this is deleted the very file which now has error ...and... start from the beginning!!!!

I have the same problem and now I write to title set and then use Prassi for a burner and it works great. Just drag the AUDIO_TS AND VIDEO_TS to prassi and burn.

    Goodluck,

    This is so much fun!

  7. Yes, I mean eventhough you have mpeg file, but when you click pulldown menu File->Import [your mpeg file *.mpg] . Then SpruceUp loading this mpeg file into its 3rd Tab (1st Tab is Background, 2nd is Buttons, 3rd is Movies), from this tab you can make sections for your movie.
When it importing your mpeg file into SpruceUp, you did click "Cancel" at the middle. SpruceUp "remember"this "wild"action. You are in trouble from that onward with any other movie (not that failed mpeg file only, it affect all other mpeg files you try to import to SpruceUp).
Now, deleted that failed mpeg file, deleted Spruce Project files, try again, if still not work, reinstall SpruceUp after remove it from windows "Add/Remove Programs" in Start->Settings->Control Panel

sometimes it takes very long till the movie imported so i close spruce

restart agian import movie and then it goes very fast

    this is what spruce makes

[ESD] Wing Chun [Sub-DVD].mpg----- the movie
    [ESD] Wing Chun [Sub-DVD].mpg.PRA
    [ESD] Wing Chun [Sub-DVD].mpg.PRV
    [ESD] Wing Chun [Sub-DVD].mpg.PRA.PRX
    [ESD] Wing Chun [Sub-DVD].mpg.PRV.PRX

  9. as stated before, spruce up does not like to burn. i author the movie and when you go to stge 3, exporting, save as disc image into a folder of your choice.then at bottom of screen it says write, click on this and it will as you to save the spruce up file.
call the same as the name u use in the folder above( mayb name of the movie).
It then creates an image file.
I use Prassi Primo dvd to burn and have not yet had a problem with this. if i can help anymore u can always send a pm.
