Instant copy CSS copy protection problem

Hello,
I'm quite new in the game and have recently obtained Instant Copy from Pinnacle. However, when I try to make a copy of a DVD I get the following message: "This DVD is CSS copy protected. This program allows only copying of non copy protected DVDs and DVD content from harddisk."

Could anyone please help me and explain a way to get around this (if there's is a way...). I've tried to copy the film to the harddisk, but it didn't succeed. Thanks in advance, Dave

you cannot copy a normal dvd with instant copy, you need to put the files from the dvd with either dvd decrypter or smartripper.

You must obtain a "DVD Ripper" program that will rip the DVD to your hard drive, stipping the CSS copy protection.

The two most commonly used ones are DVD Decrypter and SmartRipper.

You can download either one.
