  1. Someone showed me how to just copy the Video_ts folder to successfully archive or make copy of DVD BUT if I have a small video and copy the folder onto a VCD is the quality going to be the same as if I copied it onto a DVD? I know that normally a VCD does NOT have the quality that a DVD has. Is it because of the media or the compression? Thanks.

if you copy that folder onto a cd, that would not be a vcd.

vcd does not have the quality of dvd because it uses a much lower resolution and bitrate than a dvd.

  4. OK. But QUALITY-wise, since the compression has NOT changed, the folder IS the same as if I had put it on a DVD then simply by putting the Video_ts folder on a CD rather than a DVD, is the video going to be as good or not? I guess I do not understand if nothing has changed (other than the medium) how will the quality be any different? Sorry for MY confusion on this matter.

  5. If the Video_ts folder is under 800mb then yes..its possible to stick it onto a CD..what you have then is a mini-DVD..there is info about it on this site..BUT..there are very few players that can play them..mine Afreey does ..but i gave up making em some years ago..coz they are a pain in the ass and ive got a DVD burner now so no need to !
