  1. I have been sucessfully using DVD2SVCD to manage the encoding of my AVI files into DVD MPEG2 files. However a problem has arisen. When trying to process a certain film both TMPG and Cinema Craft encoders report that the film frame size is unsupported ( CCE reports it to be 940 x 56). When I open the file in Virtualdub the frame size is given as 704 x 304 Xvid codec (nstalled) can anyone help?

You need to go to the CONVERT section, and read the DivX TO guides. Your video is not a standard size, and needs to be resized. You should also make sure you have the necessary codecs. Use GSpot from the TOOLS section to the left to see if you have everything installed.

  3. Ok, I have correct codec installed and have resized my original AVI in Virtualdub to a size that I have converted before without any problems, but I am still getting the same "incompatible frame size "error. I tried encoding the file straight into CCE without using DVD2SVCD and it accepted it without any problems- the results where far from aceptable though. Any more ideas

Your will need to frameseve the file to CCE to get around this. Use either VirtualDub, or AVISynth to frameserve to CCE. You shouldn't the error.
