Newbie help with Instant Copy

Hi everyone

i am trying to downsample a video_ts library to fit onto DVD-R. Currently the file is 5GB large, and obviously wont fit onto a DVDR

I have InstantCopy 7.0.1.114.

When i follow the guides provided on VCDHELP.COM, i get an error when i start to encode the movie.

It just gives an 887601C2 error message when it tries 'Reading...',

it only takes about 5 seconds from the time i hit the start button, till the error comes up.

i have tried to delete the .vob registry and reinstall instant copy, but to no avail.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Just to add to this

when winxp comes up with the more info tab, when i click it, i get the following:


AppName: multicopy.exe AppVer: 7.0.1.114 ModName: vobtrans.ax
modver: 1.0.0.29 Offset: 0000b697

This is an interesting thread...I didn't have ANY problems with IC7 up until a week ago...then I'm getting the same messages as you.

the only difference is that I'm getting mine in the last 5 minutes of the transcode...

Just to add some more info:

the error box says:

"OLE error 887601c2"

anyone know what the heck the "OLE" is???

try setting your DVDHideConversion to true
use Hidden Settings Editor 1.1.1 to do so
