Usually it's just a matter of right-clicking on the 'inf' file and selecting 'install'.

What i want is the INF file of a popular codec named PicVideoII
---- thanks anyway -
There's more to it than the INF. The INF jsut tells the computer where to put what,a nd how to enter it into the registry, you still need the codec file (DLL).
To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -
i already got the DLL files from the windows directory.
i need to find some way to install this codec manually, because i don't want to use the Software installation program.
You know what i mean ? -
Sorry - I interpreted your question as 'how do I run it to make a manual installation'.
From what I have seen there isn't an inf file available - however I can supply a file listing the registry updates (there are many) if that helps. It can be run as an 'reg' file which will apply the updates (but that can be dangerous) - perhaps with this and the DLLs you could create an 'inf' of your own.
