  1. I vaguely recall when Netflix first came out, someone made a program to manage your queue without logging into the Netflix website. I think it was originally for Mac only.

Does anyone know of a (preferably free) program that does this for Windows?

    Thanks in advance.

Wasn't this posted in here before? I seem to remember something on this. Do a search for Netflix and see what turns up.

  3. Well, I searched the off topic forum for netflix. I got a lot of "Netflix is slowing down my movie rental rate" and "Which mail rental service is best" types of posts. No queue software though.

Do you recall if it was in the off topic forum? If not, do you recall which one?

    Thanks.

This was the first thing I found and may very well be where I remembered seeing the deal about the netflix queue. If I find anything else I'll let you know. I don't use Netflix so I won't be of too much help on this topic but hopefully some of the other members here will step in as well.

Copy and paste to a TXT file for backup.
    That's all I know.

I would imagine it impossible to get into you queue without a login.
    That's a secure site.

  7. Well, I did some more searching (Google, not the forum) and found these:

    Mac - http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/application.php?app=Netflix%20Freak

PC (in closed beta) - http://www.inkysoftware.com/

Java (opensource, and client independent) - http://netflixaddict.sourceforge.net/

I'm going to give the Java one a try (since the Windows based one's beta doesn't seem to be open to the public, and since the Java one's free).

    Let me ask my wife....
    Search Comp PM
    www.hackingnetflix.com

And before anyone gets their panties in a wad, it is a legal and legit site, don't be fooled by the name.

Anyway - they have the MAC version as well as a Java version and some other version of this type of software on there. They also have some good stories and information on Netflix and the movie rental industry as well.

Another site for tracking netflix's performance and turnaround is:

    http://www.listology.com/netflix_tracker_home.cfm

They have a thing on there that will check your netflix cookie (with your persmission) and allow it to look at your Q and your history and determine turnaround times and such from the various distribution centers.... Do that at your own risk.

And thank you to MrBass for having these links on his website and pointing me in the right direction when I was looking for this as well a few weeks ago.
