I have a 3 hour movie and have used TMPGEnc to get it down to 3.9GB so it will fit on a DVD. My DVD 4.0 won't burn it - says it is too large for media. Will Nero burn it for set-top use? Looks like Nero requires VIDEO_TS folder. What app will make this folder from the TMPGEnc MPEG2 file?
    Thanks

If you are planning on burning without any menus, ifoedit will do an excellent job of authoring out to a VIDEO_TS directory. If you are lucky enough to find a copy, SpruceUp! will do the same as well as DVDMaestro.

Here is a link to the guide in the authoring section referencing how to author with ifoedit:

  3. Doesn't mydvd convert the audio from mpeg to pcm, and hence considerably increase the size of the audio stream. This would explain why it wont fit. Use an authoring program than can use mpeg audio.
