I recently bought a DVD writer and I am learning now how to author DVD-rs. I am having a problem with ANY of my programs (ULEAD movie factory, Sonic DVDit, etc) taking the streams because they do not meet MPEG2 specifications. (please note, I have used dvd2svcd to create these svcd streams)
I have failed now following a couple guides on doing this. The one now I am having an issue with is this guide:
https://www.videohelp.com/svcddvdr.htm
I am stuck on step 2, converting with TMPGE to 48k, everytime I go in and follow the settings and hit "START" TMPGE freezes on me and says "This program has encountered a problem and must close". I have tried 3 diff versions of TMPGE< including the newest. IS there another program I can use to accomplish this same task? and besides all of these guides on here for making the svcd stream dvd compliant (I think I've tried and failed at them all).does anyone at this point have a step by step procedure I can follow to accomplish this flawlessy? Thanks!!!

To convert the audio of the SVCD stream from 44kHz to 48kHz, you can also use SSRC (found in the tools section). It's also recommended to use this one instead of the internal Tmpgenc resampling because it is much better in quality of output.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
