I been tempted by a package called DVD squeeze which apparently can squeeze a standard DVD onto a CD. Has anybody used this package and does it work as advertised?
Heres their website if you havent seen the product yet

Forget dvd-squeeze. . i have'nt tried it nut thats sounds too good to be true. A regular cd cannot handle the same bitrate as a dvd. they fooling you for your money. Go with a free version that does the same thing almost the same quality as dvd
go here and download it

after you download the program make sure you read the guides they are very helpful. And also get Cinema craft encoder 2.5, they have a link on teir website. This encoder is very fast compared to some other encoder out there.
You can convert your dvds to one vcd on a standard cd-r
or two svcds from a dvd movie.
On a vcd you put about a hour 30 minutes of movie which is decent quality. the max bitrate for vcd is 1150kbps
I have a dvd player that reads svcds. svcd is higher standard then vcd. but takes two cds for a 2 hour movie. the max bitrate for svcd is 2.53Mbps
good luck
