  6. best in what?
each has its downside and upside,
more function means a longer learning curve so it depends on
what are you willing to learn and how much money are you
    going to spend on it.
i use dvd workshop, its eazy and you have a lot of function to
    play with.
maestro is better (but not as friendly)
HELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE

I have to agree with Flaystus. DVDMaestro is great. I've tryed everything from IfoEdit (which is also excellent), to Reel DVD, NeroVision, and MovieFactory2. DVDMaestro is simple to use, supports most all features, and seems to compile the most compliant projects of any of the authoring software! Unfortunatly, it's no longer available!

There are ways of acquiring it (wink, wink)!

I've always heard that the Ulead DVD Workshop is the best there is for DVD Authoring. I only heard a couple of people complain about it, but they weren't using the full version. 8)

  10. Ulead DVD Workshop is great... but expensive. I went with Dazzle DVD Complete (yes they make software) and have been very happy.

    After trying a few...

    DVD Complete, works good.
DVD Worshop, works good and you can try it for free before you buy.

Has any one else uses PowerProducer 1.0 from CyberLink? Did a test to a VCD and it did well with jump menu points etc.

Will try a DVD project on the Video computer as soon as I image its harddrive to restore if problems.

  16. There are two main feature I look for in any authoring program is how stable and does it do what is supost to do. The stuff that came with the Sony is fare but crashes. Studio 8 is slow and crashes. And Adobe editor is a mess.
