Is the demo limited to 1x writing speed? Do you have other cd-writing software in your system? What OS?

  4. I have had the same problem. Nero was working fine but after installing it again (demo expired) this started happening. When I try and burn it says "invalid parameter in field" and then says "could not start Disc At Once". I have no Idea how to fix it and any old versions of nero I can find all say "your license has expired". Any Ideas?

It's obvious you use Windows if you try to use Nero, but WHAT Windows (95,98,NT,ME,2000,XP)?

Nero has problems when there are other cd-writer softwares installed in the system. Especially with Adaptec Easy CD Creator and Direct Cd you can easily end up with an situation where you can't write CD's at all. For win9x users there's a bootmenu utility that lets you select between different cd-writing software drivers when booting. This menu doesn't work with ME, NT, 2000 or XP (and it didn't work for me with 98 SE either).

Try uninstalling ALL CD-writing software and then reinstall Nero. Reboot after each uninstallation to make sure you get all the problematic cd-writer drivers unloaded.

  8. ok i found out i do have a cd for adaptec, so i uninstalled it, rebooted my computer, reinstalled nero 5.5, rebotted my computer, and it still has the same problem: it says invalid field in parameter what to do? is there any other free vcd buring program with the option of a menu?
