  1. Hey all, great forum !! Hopefully I'm not double/cross posting

I'm trying to convert an xvid file onto a DVD using Ulead Movie Factory. I go through the normal process of adding video, changing compression size etc. Off goes Movie Factory to produce the disc no problems, then when I play it on my pc or DVD the sound drops off after about an hour.

I've then tried converting the xvid in TMPEG, and this was worse. I ended up with a 4hour file with no sound at all.

Has anyone else had similar problems, or can someone point me in the direction of a How To guide for DIVX/XVID > DVD ??

    Cheers

There's probably something wrong with the AVI - video and/or audio stream.
Scan and remove bad frames with VirtualDub.
Extract audio as a separate file.
    Encode to MPEG
