  1. I'm using scenalyzer to capture - great tool - keeps video/audio in sync with my old VHS home video's.

I want to put the tape in and start the capture and then have it stop at the end of the tape automatically so I don't have to be there to manually stop it.

I have my VCR connected to the Studio capture card. Thus - even after the tape is complete - it will continue to put video/audio out to the capture card, so I can't stop capture after video is compete option.

So I start the capture and then go under the capture menu and select stop capture after a period of time option. I set it and I see it counting down to the point where it should stop capturing. It counts down but the capture continues and will eventually run the disk full unless I stop it manually.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I did input the date according to the template 00h 00m 15s (for example).

Has anyone gotten this to work or is this maybe a bug or something.

I did search the capture forum but didn't find this topic.

Basically - all I want to do it put the tape in, start capture, go to bed and start working on it in the morning.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

    Kevin,

Don't know about using the internal timer in Scenalyzer, although I think that I've read in other postings that there is a problem like you describe.

I'm in the process of preparing (should be posted later in the week) a guide for automating the starting/stopping of Scenalyzer using a macro program called MacroMagic and the Windows Task Sceduler. It also enables me to do the encoding once the capture is completed and shutdown the computr once encoding is completed. It's easy to set up and works very well.

Should be posted in the next few days.
