i have several simpsons episodes that are vcd. i want to put them on one dvd, all the vcd's together are 4.4 gigs, is there a tutorial or something i can go by. if all possible a real dvd not a dvd-vcd but if no other way then ill have to go with dvd-vcd.

The guides for VCD on DVD do produce REAL DVD's. The reason being is that VCD Video is valid for DVD, just the audio has to be converted to 48Khz sample rate. re-encoding to mpeg-2 at full D1 resolution will not imporve quality and may even reduce it, plus it will take up a lot more space.
If your source is VCD then stick with VCD on DVD, you won't make it any better.
