  1. Hi, Hopefully someone can clarify what I've done wrong here using the latest level of InstantCopy (114)

    1. Ripped "Panic Room" via dvddecrypter to an ISOfile - 5.75GB
    2. Mounted the ISO on a Virtual DVD drive (used Alcohol 120%)
    3. Ran InstantCopy and cut down the extras to 50% and put main movie to approx 85%. This took the predicted final size to 4.51GB.
    4. I then set it to burn directly to DVD-R.

The problem is that the final DVD-R movie is only 3.30GB in size. I was hoping for close to 4.37GB since I set IC intially for 4.51GB.

It is a full 1GB less than I expected !!!

Any ideas where I went wrong ??

    TIA

I havnt tried Panic room with IC7 but i can say that before i used DVD2ONE & IC7 i used SVCD2DVD and panic room was the only one i had a problem with & just like you it came out at around a gig too small.I used the CQ encode option witch tests a small part of the film then predicts the final output size and as IC7 predicts the final output too this i think is why your getting a smaller than expected output.I would say its the type of film nearly all set in the dark thats giving a bad predicted file size.if your not happy with the quality i would try it again at 5gig.
