hello. i have a pioneer dvd-115 dvd rom and a toshiba dvd rom i don't know the model number on that one. but the problem is i have a sony dru500a and a cd writer in my computer and i tried to install the pioneer drive to rip dvds but it won't read dvds! so i figured the drive was bad. but then i had a toshiba drive laying around from my old gateway machine and i tried to install that to rip my dvds but that also wouldn't read any dvds! is there anything that i'm doing wrong?? i have the drive hooked up to an ata controller card set to master. my dru500a reads dvds fine of course but these 2 drives won't. how can i fix this? any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you! i'm using windows xp sp1 by the way. thanks in advance for the help!
