  1. Hey,

I followed the guide vcd on dvd but i got a problem. Some of the episodes i put on dvd have bluring and blocks at the bottom of the video or the video is "moving". I tried to reencoded some of vcds again but that didn't do the trick. Can some1 help me..

I use FTV VCDs and Maestro 2.9

  2. hi,
what guide did you use to do your convertion, i use the guide below and i have the same problem i get these blocks on the right hand of the screen and about a quarter of the video disappears to the right hand side when i use dvd patcher

is there another way of converting s/vcds to dvd and still being able to make menus for it in moviefactory2

  3. Hey,

What i do is the following:
    1. De-multiplex the vcd with tmpgenc to a m1v and mp2
    2. encoded the mp2 to wav with besweet
    3. encoded the wav 44khz to 48khz wav with besweet ssrc
    4. encode the 48khz wav to a ac3 file with besweet.
    5. import the ac3 and m1v into maestro
    6. great a menu
    7. compile dvd with maestro
    8. burn dvd with nero on a dvd+rw

check the dvd on my dvd-player.. and the with the ftv encodings i get blocks and blur and shaking.. but like you say only at the bottom.. I got some encodings done by turbo-vcd and does give great dvds

Well I'm lazy.... Or maybe it is simple methods for simple people?

What I do for VCD on DVD is open Ulead MF2, Add the VCDs directly....
Usually I get 4 to 6 vcds this way depending on length...
    Add chapters..
    Burn

The last one I did this way took about 1 to 2 hours (I wasn't watching closely)

P4 266 1GB DDR w/DRU500a slower systems will affect time. This method has to convert the audio beford the burn.

One other thing if you feed it a bum VCD it will crash... However all is not lost look in the working directory for the converted files, rename em, they are good to go.

    Cheers
