I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I've attached the links to the Press Release and the Dazzle Q&A document. You be the judge.

  2. Wow a perfect marriage of marginal hardware and buggy software, I can't wait.

  3. Huh?

Pinnacle just release their USB and Firewire capture boxes a few months back and have the two Studio 8 Analog/Digital kits. Does not make sense esp at 21 million.

    Oh well!

    That deserves to be repeated!
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  5. The Dazzle DVD complete software wasn't buggy. This is bad news for DVD complete owners. Especially, given the fact that Pinnacle is acquiring the assets but are only going to make offers to selected Dazzle employees. The DVDcre8 team (which makes DVD complete) was pretty good at making a trouble free software. I hope that Pinnacle is smart enough to realize that and maintain their partnership with the DVDcre8 team.

  6. I had Dazzle DVC100 last year with the software suite. The software products had potential but to many problems and poor support made me return it. The hardware seemed fine. The Dazzle building is just down the street from where I work. Ive been wondering when the sign will come down.

This puts a great big smile on my face

Now, I know it is horrible of me to wish ill will upon anyone but.......

    Support: I told you so!

Last year I was trying to get a DVC2 working. After months of trying different things from the non-Razzle forums, I finally contacted Razzle support. Those people were one of the largest gathering of morons I have ever encountered! It all ended very badly, with the DVC2 still not working properly. And I told them that I hope they all lose their jobs, for that is what they deserved.

As far as the DVDcr8 team, never used it so no complaints. They can keep their jobs for all I care.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Sorry, just had to say that. It's been a long time coming!

  8. Morons? You are being far too generous. If it wasn't for our new yellow card system here at the forum, I'd happily provide you with more appropriate nouns, verbs and adjectives describing that tech support department.

Luckily, my DVC-II has worked for over a year with a very minimal amount of trouble. The one real problem I had was solved by their website, which is thousands of times smarter and more polite than their human counterparts.

Yeah, I would have liked to use different words too. But in some places we must remember to be polite. And I'm still laughing!
