    I bought a 50 pack from allmediaoutlet.

    Coasters: 9
    Working: 7
    Number discs used: 16

I've been real cautious with them, I only burn about 3.8 gigs on each disc and it still skips/freezes near the end. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Just got 200 with the same code, from RIMA. So far 50 burnt, no coasters, or problems when i play them i my standalone.
I think that you use a shitty proggie to burn these discs, or you have a bad burner (Pioneer socks !!!)

I used ulead dmf2 to author and burn and I am using a a05. Yet, I've never burned a coaster with memorex(taiyo yuden) dvd-r or maxell dvd-rw. I am positive its the discs.

    Update this morning:

    Coasters: 10
    Working: 7

  5. IF your having so many problems with the G03's, why don't you call Allmedia and request a RMA? They are usually really good about it.

I can only burn them at 1x though

They wouldn't admit that their media is defective and they would only refund the amount that is not burned plus they have a 15% restocking fee. I would end up paying around $25 to return their crappy media. I figured that maybe if i don't use all 4.3 gigs it would work. I figured wrong. Oh well, live and learn.

I've stopped burning any Riteks with the PY code at 1x and that helped... of course now my burner might be going out but its an unreleated issue. No clue how fast you are burning but figured I'd toss that in for you just in case.

Just making sure, I know alot of 104 owners use the hacked firmware to burn Ritek at 2x. Thats why I was making the suggestion.

Overall, the media is actually pretty good. There was a bad batch out not too long ago. I had 50 bad out of 200. Those 50 either failed in power calibration, or right after the lead in was wrote. Rima took 'em back no questions asked, just had to ship them back.

I just recieved a new shipment today, and out of 28, all 28 have been good. The 50 bad were the first I've ever seen from Rima, and Ritek in general, but it does happen.

It stinks that you have to eat the cost on these, but I'd look for another store to do business with.

Check out www.resellerrating.com to read up on the retailers you do business with. One look at allmediaoutlet's reviews, and your experience doesn't surprise me. Ask others for their opinions too, incase your weary about a store.
